UNSW + OzHarvest
Grand Challenge.

How can we reduce residential food waste

in high density urban environments?

Connecting education and industry
To solve real-world problems

UNSW Grand Challenges

OzHarvest

Shaping responses to the complex issues facing humanity, the Grand Challenges Program puts UNSW’s research squarely into the real world. Each challenge engages scholars, policymakers and the public through a series of critical discussions, debates, events and activities about one of the tests of our time.

UNSW Built Environment

At UNSW Built Environment we shape future cities, cities that are resilient, informed, connected, healthy, smart, liveable and inclusive. We focus on the challenges of our cities at every scale, from industrial designed products and services, to buildings through to policy and planning at the urban and territorial scales.
Did you know 1/3 of the world's food gets wasted? Wasting food wastes everything: water, land, energy, labour, money & love. OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it directly to more than 1300 charities supporting people in need across the country.

UNSW Business School

UNSW Business School is where great minds do business. As a powerhouse of business education and research in the Asia Pacific region, we develop intelligent leaders who thrive on new technologies and global career opportunities. We believe that continuous education and real-world experiences create the best outcomes for our students.
